In a nutshell, purely for commercial reasons. Professional magic Pete Turner is just a random name that can be forgotten. Professional Magician Pete Turner runs a business called Mystery Magic. It would quite appealing if Pete calls himself after the name of his business Mystery, but with a twist, Mister Ree. In the past Pete has been mistaken as Paul or even Taylor confusing clients to find the right name. Also there is another magician in Leeds who is also called Pete Turner, which can be confusing to punters trying to look you up. It is healthy to have a stage name; Mister Ree as in Mystery is a name people don’t forget over Pete Turner. Have you ever heard of Steven Frayne….he is Dynamo? Ok ‘Mister Ree’ is not as famous has Dynamo, but it helps Pete Turner to be recognised. Does that answer your question?

Professional magician Pete Turner does not feel comfortable to say he is good, but he does has the confidence to deliver top quality magic to your special occasion. Mister Ree has been performing magic for almost 26 years giving him priceless experience. So you could say he knows what he is doing.

What is cheap these days? What is expensive to one client can be cheap to another client. In a nutshell, Mister Ree is affordable. After 26 years in the entertainment business, Pete knows the going rate and what clients should be paying. Rates can vary regarding costing of distance of travel, timings and the format of magic required to suit your event.
HOW LONG DO YOU PERFORM YOUR MAGIC FOR?
How long is a piece of string? One good thing about Mister Ree, he doesn’t clock watch. Most magicians charge by the hour, which is fine if it works for them, but Pete, performs however long it takes. You have no idea how long it takes to get round everyone. There are always delays at events for one reason or another, so it is difficult to give a time. Magicians who charge by the hour can leave too short as you’re paying for a magician’s time, even if there is a delay. As long as a good percentage of people have seen and enjoyed Pete’s magic, he knows when to stop. Pete’s objective is making sure you’re happy with his services before he leaves. Whether you want Pete Turner for one hour or three hours, it will not making any difference to his rates. He still uses the same effort and fuel to get to your venue regardless, so you might as well take advantage of Pete’s timings.

Of course humour plays a massive part in your delivery of magic. Mister Ree does have a wicked sense of humour, so he will use his natural humour in his delivery. It is important to point out that you’re hiring a magician, not a comedian, so sometimes slapstick comedy can take the edge from real art of magic, granted it did work for Tommy Cooper.
MY EVENT HAS KIDS, CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
The kids love Pete’s magic. They’ve all seen the Harry Potter movies, so they do have a massive interest in magic, so to see real magic is a great and memorable experience for them. Mister Ree has some lovely material which is family friendly. Pete can adapt his magic which is ideal for adults, tamed down for children or accommodate mix with family magic. To be honest, Pete’s magic is suited for the older children from the age of seven, but The Foxx can make some model balloons for the tots. This service is complimentary within the package, so it won’t affect the rates if you decide not to have this service.
HAVE YOU BEEN DRS CHECKED?
Had a feeling that would be the next question you’ll be asking. Yes, all good on that issue. There are so many certificates for so many departments these days regarding this issue, which is so complicated and somewhat expensive to get every required paperwork. ‘Mister Ree’ has been checked on as many levels that he has been checked for, so does he need more? If you do require a particular certificate that Pete Turner may not have for your event, it will be easier to decline the work than go through the rigmarole of apply for the right certificate. WILL YOUR MAGIC OFFEND MY GUESTS?
Don’t worry, Pete’s material is a clean act and it will not offend. Magic frowns upon blue, so all good. Pete knows his boundaries, but sometime a little innocent innuendo in the right context and the right timing may pop out, but not to offend. Let’s face it, we’re all not that straight lace. No one will be force or feel intimated to be involved in Pete’s magic. If any guests who may feel uncomfortable about magic, he will know and deal with the situation in professional manner.
ARE YOU RELIABLE?
Oh yes, Pete Turner runs a very successful business in the entertainment business, so reliability is one of his key elements. Unfortunately, if any extreme personal circumstances occurs or Pete feels unfit to attend your event, he will do his best to get a replacement. At the end of the day, although is Pete Turner is a very magical person who performs the impossible in a logical world, he is still human. Don’t worry, Pete has always turned up at every event he has been booked for.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
Depends! Mister Ree has a user friendly service to make life easy and simple for his clients, so Pete has a trust policy which works for him and his clients. In the main, he doesn’t ask for deposit, but to pay the balance on arrival. If Pete Turner has to travel some distance or the job is big, he would probably ask for a deposit to cover himself. If you want that peace of mind for security and want to pay a deposit, which is not a problem. The Foxx will accommodate to suit the client.
HOW CAN I PAY YOU?
Whatever suits the client! You can pay cash on the day or by bank transfer just before the event. Cheques are fine, but must be paid a week before. Pete does have a card reader facility, but unfortunately there is a £3 fee to cover charges. Discretion of this charge maybe viewed to the nature of circumstances.
