TRIBUTE TO TOMMY COOPER

Length of Talk 55 minutes (average)

A comedy lecture on the life of Tommy Cooper on stage

If you are looking for a lecture which is well planned, structured & prepared, then don’t bother booking this talk because you will be disappointed! This lecture is the only lecture in the world that is meant to go wrong. If this lecture went well, it wouldn’t be Tommy Cooper.

The well-loved comedian magician Tommy Cooper made his career in magic that went wrong. In this tribute, you will see those awful tricks that had a clever twist. Tommy Cooper is well known for his awful but brilliant one liner. It wasn’t the jokes that made people laugh; it was his face, his mannerisms and the clumsy way in which he portrayed himself as a lousy magician. This lecture touches on those comical one liners. The tribute touches on his life, but mainly his life on stage and all the props that went wrong that made him famous.
This lecture is a tribute to Tommy Cooper. Therefore it has a comic approach and is light hearted than an informative lecture.

PLEASE NOTE – TRIBUTE TO TOMMY COOPER is not a Comedy Magic Show, but a very light hearted tribute to the great man.

I was amazed with Pete’s magic at our daughters wedding. What impressed me was the way Peter handled the heckling he received from our younger guests (after a few drinks). The way he turned it around, earned him the respect at the Wedding – very professional

I’m not really into magic, but I was so glad my new husband persuaded me to have Pete as our Wedding Magician, because he was amazing. He brought that extra little spark into our Special Day which was well received. Our Guests loved him and did not want him to go home.

ENID SHAW – (St. Helens) Mother of the Bride

Pete joined our cruise in Australia for our long voyage over the Indian Ocean to South Africa, so we knew it was going to be tough to keep our passengers occupied. Pete never let us down. He did ten lectures. Each was well attended. We even used Pete as a pre dinner entertainment, which filled our lounge. Great speaker, I would like to put forward Peter for the Baltic Cruise in May.

There is no doubt that your “gestures” (all right ones – no naughty ones) had eye contact, use of humour, audience rapport, good use of vobabulary and word pictures with pitch, pause and pace and you will be pleased “you passed the assignment with flying colours – and we shall all look forward to seeing you on your next presentation.”
